Terriers Play Sharks to Scoreless Tie in Regular Season Finale on Monday

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – The St. Francis College Brooklyn men's soccer team (5-1-1, 5-1-1 NEC) played LIU (3-1-3, 3-1-3 NEC) to a scoreless draw on Monday afternoon at Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 5. The Terriers picked up their third clean sheet of the season and earned their first tie of the 2021 Spring campaign.
 
The Terriers and Sharks locked up in a classic St. Francis Brooklyn – LIU matchup to close out the 2021 Spring regular season. St. Francis' backline and freshman goalkeeper David Santiago stood strong as they teamed up to hold LIU scoreless through 110 minutes of the double overtime contest. Santiago picked up his first career clean sheet for the Terriers as he made four saves in his first career start.

The No. 1 overall seed St. Francis is set to host the No. 2 seed LIU in the 2021 NEC Men's Soccer Championship game on Friday, April 16, at 1 p.m., at Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 5. The 2020-21 NEC Championship game marks the Terriers' fifth Championship game appearance over the past eight seasons. St. Francis has won four of the last seven NEC Championships (2013, 2014, 2016, 2017).
