Terriers Announce Addition of Isabella Posset

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY – St. Francis College Brooklyn women's basketball Head Coach Linda Cimino has announced the addition of guard Isabella Posset to the Terriers' roster. As a transfer student-athlete in the sport of basketball, Posset will fulfill the NCAA residence requirement, and will become eligible to compete during the 2021-22 season.

"We are excited to welcome Bella. She's a veteran guard who knows this league well. She's an extremely tough player who excels on the defensive end and is a huge addition to our program. Her experience and basketball IQ are tremendous assets and we look forward to her contributing to our team in the 2021-22 season," said Terriers' Head Coach Linda Cimino.

Posset, from Beaver, PA, has spent the previous two seasons with former Northeast Conference (NEC) foe, Robert Morris University. During her tenure in Moon Township, Posset was named to the All-NEC Third Team, and was selected to the All-NEC Rookie Team. Additionally, Posset was named an NEC Academic Honor Roll recipient in both seasons as a Colonial.

During her sophomore season, Posset produced a stellar resume that featured a team-leading 2.3 steals in a team-high 26.6 minutes per game on the hardwood. The aforementioned number of steals ranked third in the NEC. Throughout the 2019-20 season, Posset produced in numerous ways, as she reached double figures in scoring 13 times, and led her squad in the respective category twice.

Posset achieved a career-high in points with 16 against Merrimack, added four steals, four rebounds, and three assists on January 8, 2020. While competing in the 2020 NEC Tournament quarterfinals, Posset tallied 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the charity stripe, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out a pair of assists, and two steals against Wagner on March 9. Posset became the fourth fastest player in Robert Morris history to reach 100 career steals.

In her first season at Robert Morris, Posset played in all 33 games during the Colonials' conference championship season, and started in 25 of those contests. She was selected as the NEC Rookie of the Week three times, and led conference freshman in the steals (1.9), and assists (2.7). During the 2019 NEC Championship game against Saint Francis (PA), Posset added 12 points to the score sheet, nine of those points coming from beyond-the-arc, with the other four coming from the free-throw line. She also added six assists, and a pair of steals during the teams' eighth tournament championship victory.

Posset attended Beaver Area High School, where she was named Beaver County Times and WPIAL Section 2-4A Player of the Year in 2017-18. She also earned PIAA All-State First Team, Section 2-4A First Team, Times Top 20, and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fab Five. As a junior in high school, she joined the 1,000-point club.

The Terriers are set to resume play on Saturday, January 23, by welcoming the Sharks of Long Island University to the Daniel Lynch '38 Gymnasium for a 4 p.m. start. The contest can be viewed on NECFrontRow.com.
