Swimming & Diving Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The St. Francis College Brooklyn men's and women's swimming and diving programs earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team honors as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

The women's team claims the award for the second year in a row as it posted a cumulative 3.29 GPA, while the men's squad recorded a 3.06 GPA. Academic excellence has been the standard for the swimming and diving program as the teams work towards this goal each year.

"I am really proud of both teams for achieving CSCAA Scholar All-America status. Earning these academic honors are one of the main goals we set for the entire team at the beginning of the season and this accomplishment is a testament to our student-athletes hard-work in the classroom," said Director of Aquatics/Swimming and Diving Head Coach Brian Guidera

To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the Fall Semester and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes. A CSCAA record 762 teams from 480 institutions received Scholar All-America Team recognition. The teams were selected based on their Fall grade point averages and represent 17,685 student-athletes.
