St. Francis has now won each of its last two meetings with La Salle dating back to last season as the Terriers knocked off the Explorers, 2-0, on September 5, 2018. Over the previous two contests against La Salle, the Terriers have held the Explorers off the scoreboard for 180 minutes.

- Junior forward Chris Gruver opened up the scoring for the Terriers in the 21st minute as he buried a one-timer off a perfect ball in the box from senior midfielder Julien Remiti. The goal was Gruver's first of his career, while Remiti the 2018 All-NEC First Team selection notched his first assist of the season.
- In the 32nd minute senior forward Matteo Caribotti extended St. Francis' lead to 2-0 on his first goal of the 2019 campaign. Junior midfielder Edoardo Belfanti found Caribotti in the box, he corralled the ball, fought for his shot and buried it home. Caribotti checked into the game as a sub for junior forward Nicolas Molina just 1:33 prior to him scoring the goal.
- Senior midfielder Amir Islami put the game away for the Terriers as he scored a breakaway goal in the 81st minute. The senior went one-on-one with La Salle's goalkeeper Brett Werner and snuck the ball past him inside the right post.
- Freshman goalkeeper Callum James earned his second consecutive clean sheet to start his collegiate career. The goalkeeper recorded four saves and faced 14 shots en route to his second shutout in net.
- The Terriers and Explorers matched each other in shots with 14 apiece, but St. Francis registered seven shots on goal, while La Salle managed four.
The Terriers wrap up a three-match homestand on Saturday, September 7, as they welcome the Lafayette Leopards to Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 5 for a 1 p.m. kick-off. The Terriers are (4-0-1) in their last five meetings with Lafayette and have won four-straight contests against them. St. Francis defeated Lafayette, 1-0, on a game-winning goal by Islami to open up the 2018 season.
