BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY– The St. Francis College Brooklyn women's soccer team (0-9-0, 0-2-0) fell to the Sharks of Long Island University (2-7-1, 1-1-0) by a score of 3-2 on Friday afternoon at Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 5. The contest marked the first meeting between the first-year program, and the newly relocated LIU team this season.

Sophomore goalkeeper Maggie Boston returned to the net, where she and her teammates stood tall during the first half. LIU would score three second-half goals with Poole, and Oldroyd netting the final two goals of the afternoon.

The Terriers offense came alive with a pair of goals from freshman defender Isabelle Gollette off a free-kick, that would fly over the head of Kayla DeTreux for the first of the match for the home team. Four minutes later, a pass from midfielder Henriette Lykke to forward Yawara MacNeill gave the California native her first collegiate goal. The Terriers won the battle of the corners 5-2.
