Men’s Tennis Ventures to Lafayette on Sunday Afternoon

THE MATCHUP:
St. Francis Brooklyn vs. Lafayette
Sunday March 2, at 2:00 p.m.
Easton, PA
 
The Terriers (0-4, 0-1) look to get back on track against the Leopards of Lafayette College (1-1, 0-0) on Sunday afternoon at the Northwood Racquet Club. St. Francis Brooklyn travels on the road for the second time this spring. The first road match featured a 6-0 defeat against the Clippers of Concordia University roughly two weeks ago.
 
ALL TIME SERIES:
St. Francis Brooklyn trails the all-time series 2-8 against Lafayette. The previous matchup featured a 6-1 defeat against the opposition. The victory for the Terriers saw all three doubles matches take down their respective opponents.  Led by Francisco Adolfo Blanco and Pablo Blasco Torres, the doubles pairings took down Lafayette's Blake Oslan and Mason Keel 7-5. St. Francis were victorious in five singles matches, where all the winners defeated their opposition in straight sets.
 
LAST TIME OUT:
St. Francis Brooklyn played back to back contests at home against the Wagner Seahawks and UC Riverside three weeks ago at McCarren Park and Matchpoint Mill Basin respectively. The Terriers were taken down by a combined 13-1 in both the contests. The lone victory came against Wagner when Daniel Blasco took down his opponent Hans Orhner in a three set thriller.
 
UP NEXT:
St. Francis Brooklyn are right back in action on Monday morning March 4, when they travel to face the Pioneers of Sacred Heart University for an 11 a.m. opening serve at the Tennis Club of Trumbull.
