WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:
- On the women's side, the Terriers had another great swim from Ana Paula Montes de Oca. Today, the Mexico City native competed in the 200-yard butterfly and placed third overall, putting up a final time of 2:05.54.
- Sophomore Jovana Terzic had a strong top five finish in the 100-yard freestyle. She touched the wall with a time of 53.40, which was good for fifth-place.
- Fanny Stromstedt put up a strong second-place finish for the Terriers in the 200-yard breaststroke. With a time of 2:21.86, which was a season-best.
- To finish things off, the women's 400-yard freestyle relay team notched a fourth-place finish. Montes de Oca, Terzic, Mariajose Lopez, and Tina Childress put up a time of 3:34.81.
- Another record has fallen on Remsen street in the 100-yard freestyle as Djodje Spasic set the new record at 46.65. Spasic later posted a faster time to leadoff the 400-yard freestyle relay to break the record he already broke earlier in the day.
- Alfred Christensson also had a record-breaking afternoon in the 200-yard butterfly. He took first-place overall in the event and swam a time of 1:51.84, which broke the school record.
- The men's 400-yard freestyle relay team had a strong second-place finish. This relay squad consisted of Spasic, Steven Dawkins, Micah Wesselhoff, and Andrew Gubarev. They put up a time of 3:08.11 to break another school record.
The Terriers are back in action on Friday, January 17, when they go head-to-head with Delaware in Dover, DE at 2 p.m.
