The women's squad posted 30 points and tied with SNHU, while the men's team had several individuals compete at the meet. Wagner was the only other NEC member to compete and posted a fourth-place team finish.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:
- Janaya Lewis started the day off with a sixth-place finish in the 60-meter finals. Lewis posted a time of 7.94 and notched three points for the Terriers. Lewis then came through with gold in the 200-meter finals. The freshman crossed the finish line at 25:68.
- In the 500-meter finals, the Terriers had two student-athletes place in the top four. Leah Rivers took third-place with a time of 1:20.45 and Brianna Brown followed in fourth-place with a final time of 1:22.38.
- Diondra Bryant cracked the top eight of the 1,000-meter finals as she took home a point for the Terriers with a time of 3:18.29.
- The distance medley relay finals team of Leah Rivers, Brianna Brown, Tyiera Newland, and Diondra Bryant took home fourth-place with a total time of 13:26.95.
- Daniel Hernandez earned a 10th-place finish in the 500-meter finals with a time of 1:09.26.
- Maurice Morris came in 14th in the 60-meter finals. Morris posted a final time of 7.19
The Terriers' men's team is back in action tomorrow in the Great Dane Classic. The women's squad will participate in the Gotham Cup on Friday, January 18.
