Last Timeout:
The St. Francis Terriers beat the first place Robert Morris Colonials at their own game, outlasting the Northeast Conference's best defensive team, winning 49-47 in a true Brooklyn Tough effort.
 
The win propelled the Terriers to (10-14, 6-7 NEC), moving them to fifth place in the conference, and matching their league win total from last season. 
 
Offensively, Jade Johnson led the way with a team-high 11 points, reaching double-figures for the 20th time this season. Alex Delaney followed with 11 points, six rebounds and four assists, and making one three-pointer, which tied her with Kim Weir for fourth all-time in program history at 156 career makes from deep.
 
Amy O'Neill dished out a game-high seven assists, while also coming away with four steals. Freshman forward Abby Anderson added seven points in 11 minutes off the bench.

Recent Series History:
Since the 2012-13 season, the Terriers are 9-3 against LIU-Brooklyn; with an initial seven game winning streak that lasted up until the teams split match-ups over their last two seasons.
 
Last season, the Terriers won the Battle of Brooklyn at the Steinberg Wellness Center, with former Terrier Rachel Iozzia netting a game winning three-ball with about 10 seconds remaining to seal the win.

In conference play, the Terriers are shooting 37.7% from deep, which is second in the league over that stretch, resulting from converting on 95-of-252 three-point shots.
 
The Terriers have drained 40% or more from three in 12 games this season, and have two of the NEC's top three-point shooters in the conference (among qualifiers) in Jade Johnson and Alex Delaney.
 
Jade County:
Jade Johnson is fifth among leading scorers in the Northeast Conference, recording a team-best 14.8 points per contest. The sophomore shooting guard has been an NEC Prime Performer three times this season.

In 24 games this season, Johnson has reached double-digit points in 20 contests, including 11 straight appearances between November 30 and January 15, and she's toppled the 20-point mark on seven occasions. On the season, the Australian native has 38 steals (1.6 per), and she's also pulling down 4.5 rebounds per game from the guard spot. At 42.6% from three-point range, the second-year Terrier is second among all NEC players, and she also ranks near the top-10 in NEC field goal percentage (44.9%) among qualifiers. 

Delaney's Historical Pursuit:
Alex Delaney, who is hitting 36.8% from three this season, which is eighth among NEC players, currently has 156 made from downtown in her career, tying her for fourth all-time on the SFBKWBB leaderboard with Kim Weir.
 
Additionally, The 6-foot forward averaged 17.2 points in a five-game stretch between January 13 and January 26, and 12.2 in 20 games since November 25.
 
Scouting LIU Brooklyn:
The Blackbirds have two straight wins against the Terriers, but have undergone a tough stretch heading into Saturday's Battle of Brooklyn. The Blackbirds have lost three straight, respectively at the hands of last place Wagner and dual first place Robert Morris and Saint Francis PA. Since January 20, LIU Brooklyn has lost six of their last eight games.
 
LIU Brooklyn have two of the NEC's top ten scorers in Denisha Petty-Evans, who is fourth at 15.2 points per game, and Jeydah Johnson, who is seventh at 13.4. Deangelique Waithe follows at 11.9 points per contest and is just outside the top-ten, but is third in the NEC on the boards with 9.0 rebounds per game. Point guard Drew Winter leads the league at 5.0 assists per appearance.
 
Preseason Predictions:
The Terriers were selected to finish sixth in this year's Preseason NEC Coaches Poll. Last year the Terriers, who were also picked sixth, finished in seventh place and reached the NEC Quarterfinals. 

One More Road Swing:
The Terriers will be back in action exactly one week from the Battle of Brooklyn, where they'll face the Sacred Heart Pioneers in Connecticut at 1 p.m. The following Monday will be the Terriers' final regular season road game, and will be played at Fairleigh Dickinson University against the Knights at 7.
