SMITHFIELD, RI – The St. Francis Brooklyn men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2018 Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships on Saturday. The men's team finished in seventh in the 8K, while the women's team came in 10th place in the 5K.
A trio of Terriers finished in the top 30 in the men's 8K. Sophomore Orville Dixon Jr. recorded the top time for the Terriers as he crossed the finish line at 27:22.3, which earned him 22nd place. Dixon Jr. posted an average mile time of 5:30.4.
Sophomore Zach Faljean finished in 28th place with a time of 27:33.1 Freshman Jason Cousineau came in 30th place overall with a time of 27:37.4.
On the women's side, senior Diondra Bryant recorded the top time for the Terriers as she finished the 5K in 20:31.0 and recorded an average mile time of 6:35.8. Sophomore Leah Rivers finished up right behind Bryant as she posted a time of 20:40.5 in the Championship.
