Last Time Out
The host St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers reversed an eight-point second-half deficit and went on to defeat the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers, 81-73, in a Northeast Conference contest at the Pope Physical Education Center on Thursday evening.

The Terriers' three-guard starting lineup of sophomore Rasheem Dunn (20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists), junior Glenn Sanabria (20 points), and freshman Jalen Jordan (17, career-high 7 rebounds) combined for 57 points to lead the offense.

St. Francis Brooklyn (7-12, 4-3 NEC) played tremendous defense in the second-half as they held the Mount to 38.5 percent shooting after the visitors hit 61.5 percent of their tries in the opening stanza, including 10-of-15 treys.

Trailing 50-42 with 18:11 remaining in the contest, the Red & Blue altered the momentum of the game by scoring 13 consecutive points over a seven minute span to claim a 55-50 lead.

Jordan, who connected on 6-of-10 field goals on the night, ignited the run with back-to-back 3's to bring the Terriers within 50-48 with 15:36 left.  Sanabria then drilled one of his career-best six long-distance bombs to give St. Francis Brooklyn the lead for good, 51-50, at the 13:40 mark.  Freshman guard Josh Nicholas followed with a tip-in and Dunn capped the stretch with a driving layup.

After widening their lead to 66-58 after a Dunn trey with 8:15 left, the visitors scored six straight to close within two with 6:20 left.  St. Francis Brooklyn sophomore forward Milija Cosic answered with a conventional 3-point play to stop the bleeding.

The Mount (10-10, 4-3 NEC), who led 44-39 at the break, was within just two points, 73-71, after a dunk by senior guard Greg Alexander with 3:44 remaining but that was as close as they would get.  Dunn delivered consecutive jumpers to stake the hosts to a 77-71 lead with 1:05 to play.

Senior guard Junior Robinson (21 points), the NEC's leading scorer, brought the visitors within 77-73 with 48 ticks left after completing a layup but they got no closer.

Terriers Backcourt Duo Comes Up Big During Opening NEC Weekend
Dunn St. Francis Brooklyn won their first two league contests in large part to their terrific backcourt duo of sophomore Rasheem Dunn (Brooklyn, NY/Thomas Jefferson) and junior Glenn Sanabria (Staten Island, NY/St. Peter's).  Dunn averaged 19.0 points and 6.0 rebounds while Sanabria added 15.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 4.0 rebounds.

Dunn scored 16 points and added five boards and three steals in the victory at Sacred Heart.  His driving layup with 2:14 remaining gave St. Francis Brooklyn a 69-66 lead with the Pioneers breathing down the Terriers' necks.  Last year's NEC All-Rookie Team member followed that up with a team-high 22 points and seven boards in the home victory against Wagner on New Year's Eve.  He equaled his career-high with 10 made free throws and now has recorded four games with 20 or more points already this season.

Sanabria turned in a pair of clutch performances in helping the Terriers win a pair of tight NEC contests against Sacred Heart and Wagner to open league play. In the road win against the Pioneers, the Staten Island native caught fire from behind the arc, splashing 5-of-6 attempts, including a key trifecta that put the Terriers up 63-59 with 5:25 left. The St. Peter's product also dished five assists against no turnovers in 37 minutes against Sacred Heart. Sanabria was just as effective against Wagner as he scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half, including 12 in the final 7:02. His step-back triple with 1:22 left gave St. Francis Brooklyn a 76-71 advantage. After the Seahawks closed within 3, he sank two free throws with 46 ticks left to give his team a 78-73 lead. Sanabria also added five rebounds, four assists, and three steals in 36 minutes. He averaged 15.5 ppg., 4.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals on the week.

Halfway to a Grand
Dunn went over the 500 point mark for his career against Fordham on Dec. 9th. The sophomore, who has 667 career points,  already has scored 20 or more points seven times this season.  He is 9th in the league in scoring at 15.1 ppg.  Dunn is tied for 7th in NEC contests at 16.5  ppg.

The Worldwide Leader

The Dunk
Freshman guard Josh Nicholas completed a ferocious windmill dunk against Notre Dame and the play made ESPN Sports Center's #3 play-of-the-day.  It was the first time a Terrier has ever pulled off a Sports Center Top-10 play.

The Shot
Junior guard Glenn Sanabria swished a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the Robert Morris game into overtime.  The play made ESPN Sports Center's #3 play-of-the-day.  It was the second time a Terrier has ever pulled off a Sports Center Top-10 play.

Jalen Jordan Named NEC Rookie of the Week
St. Francis Brooklyn freshman shooting guard Jalen Jordan was named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week on November 20th.  Jordan looks to be the latest in a long line of terrific guards in recent years who have suited up for the Terriers. He poured in 22 points, including a 6-11 afternoon from outside the arc, and added four rebounds and a steal in St. Francis Brooklyn's 77-74 win over Brown in its home opener.  He also hit a clutch left-corner trifecta with just over a minute remaining to help secure the victory. He ranks 6th in the NEC with 2.31  3's per game and is 19th in the league at 12.1 ppg.

Welcome Back Gunnar!
Senior forward Gunnar Olafsson returned to practice last week and made late-game appearances against CCSU and SHU. Olafsson missed eight straight contests after injuring his hand against Notre Dame on December 3rd.

Making Them Count
The Terriers have been one of the poorer free throw shooting teams in recent years.  However, this season, the Red & Blue are 3rd in the NEC (.724).  Jalen Jordan is 4th individually at .840 percent (42-of-50).  Rasheem Dunn is 10th at .805 (62-of-77).  The squad went 15-of-16 (93.8 percent) in the win vs. the Mount.
