St. Francis (NY) d. Marist, 10-7

The Terriers bounced back strong after the loss to Iona to take the second MAAC contest of the day on Saturday. SFC set the tone of the game early, jumping out to the 3-1 lead after the first quarter. However the reigning MAAC champion Marist proved they would not go down quietly when they tied the game at five goals a piece at the end of the third quarter. Still, the Terriers left the best for the last outscoring their opponent 5-2 in the last period of the game adding another well deserved victory to their record. With four goals Andrea Dolnay once again proved to be the best player in the game for SFC. Senior Kristine Vessey and sophomore Thalita Paladino, each contributed with two goals of their own, while junior Emily Matthews and freshman Paloma Szivos each scored one goal a piece. Brittany Ryburn had an outstanding game in the goal, collecting an impressive 13 saves and four steals in her effort.
